How FileConvert Works
FileConvert uses WebAssembly (WASM) technology to process files entirely within your web browser. This means:
- Your files never leave your device during the conversion process
- No data is transmitted to our servers or any third-party services
- All processing happens locally using your computer's resources
- Once you close your browser tab, all data is automatically cleared
Information We Collect
Files and Conversion Data
We do not collect any files or conversion data. The files you convert are processed entirely in your browser and are never transmitted to our servers. We have no ability to access, view, or store your files.
Analytics Data
We may collect anonymous, aggregated analytics data to improve our service, including:
- Page views and general usage patterns
- Browser type and device category (desktop/mobile)
- Geographic region (country level only)
- Conversion type statistics (e.g., "JPG to PNG" was used, not what files)
This data is completely anonymous and cannot be linked to any individual or specific files.
Cookies and Tracking
FileConvert uses minimal, essential cookies only:

FileConvert loads the following external resources:

These services may have their own privacy policies. However, none of these services receive any of your file data.
Data Security
Since we don't collect or store your files, the security model is inherently strong. Your files exist only in your browser's memory during conversion and are automatically cleared when you navigate away or close the tab. We use HTTPS encryption for all connections to our website.
