FileConvert is a free, client-side file conversion service. The Service allows you to convert files between various formats directly in your web browser. All file processing occurs locally on your device using WebAssembly technology.

• No files are uploaded to our servers
• The Service is provided free of charge
• Conversions are unlimited

3. User Rights and Responsibilities

• You retain all rights to files you convert using the Service

• You may use converted files without attribution to FileConvert

The Service uses open-source software including FFmpeg and PDF-LIB, which are subject to their respective licenses.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT:

• The Service will be uninterrupted or error-free
• Conversions will be 100% accurate in all cases
• The Service will meet your specific requirements
• Any errors will be corrected

You use the Service at your own risk. We recommend keeping backups of your original files before conversion.

7. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, FILECONVERT SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING:

• Loss of data or files
• Loss of profits or revenue
• Business interruption
• Any other damages arising from use of the Service

Since files are processed locally and never transmitted to us, we have no control over or access to your files and cannot be held responsible for any issues related to file content or conversion results.

8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless FileConvert and its affiliates from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

9. Modifications to Service

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time without notice. We will not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the Service.

10. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which FileConvert operates, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
